A trip to the Zoo, A Surgery and two Baptisms

So sorry that I have not updated sooner... we had a busy week!!!
Monday, the boys had their first opportunity to go to the Como Zoo!!!  We went with Auntie Casie and Auntie Hannah to Celebrate Hannah's Birthday!!!  The boys did great!!!  They ate bottles by the Sparky Statue, slept quietly through most of the animals and then woke up just in time to see the beautiful Spring Flower Show at the conservatory!!!
Wednesday brought Benjamin's surgery!!!  He did really well.  Mom and Dad were worried that this would compromise his respiratory status... but not our little fighter, he did great coming out of anesthesia and was all smiles and cooing for the nurse by evening.
Saturday, the boys spent the day with Gramma, Grumpy and the Hunkles (uncles) while mommy and daddy ran around like crazy people getting everything just perfect for the big Baptisms on Sunday.  The boys did great during the church service as well as during the luncheon at our house (not so great the night before as someone was up at all times starting at 1 am...joy:).  Thank you to so many for making the day so special, The Godparents, those that helped with food, Great Auntie Sarah for the gorgeous Baptismal gowns,  Auntie Christine for their baptism blankets, Katie for taking Great photos... and so many others!!!
What a wonderful week!!!

3 Months Old!!!

Time truly flies when you are having fun (and a little sleep deprived)!  I can't believe that the boys are 3 months old (on the 14th).  I spent a lot of time on Wednesday reliving the events from January 14th, looking at photos of my tiny little babes and re reading old blog posts.  We are so truly BLESSED!!! In some odd way the past 6 months (3 months of bed rest and 3 months of the boys' lives) have flown by, not all the memories that I have are bad... in fact I have fond memories of station 54 (the friends that I saw, the nurses that I met and the time that I had to get to know my boys), fond memories of my boys in NICU(I would have preferred for them not to be there... but they were in wonderful hands), fond memories of Special Care (that is where we gave the boys their first baths, first bottles, first holiday and where we finally got to bring them home from) and many fond memories of them snuggled safely at home with Brent and Berkeley and Me. The past three months have been filled with milestones, lots of bottles, lack of sleep, friends, family, laughter and SO MUCH LOVE! The boys have come so far!!!  Nathan started out at 3 pounds 13 ounces and is now 9 pounds!  Benjamin was 3 pounds 3 ounces and now tips the scales at 7 pounds 10 ounces, is off of the O2 and will have his hernia surgery next week.  Both boys are moving towards being better nappers and we are now starting to get 4 hour stretches of sleep.  We are loving the warm weather and have taken many walks... we are also looking forward to their baptism next weekend.  To all of you who prayed, loved, supported and checked in on us Thank you!!!!
