Allison: 9 Months

I will never understand how nine months of pregnancy takes FOREVER and 9 months with a baby just flies by!  This was a fun month with you my dear Allison.  This was a month of growth and change....your personality just keeps on shining!
The Stats are in!
Weight 17 pounds 7 ounces (36%)
Height: 28 3/4 inches (86%)
OFC: 17 3/4 inch (81%)
Size 3 diapers
Clothing 6-9 months
Shoes: Newly size 3

Sleeping:  Party in your crib!!!!  You are still a great sleeper...at 7pm when you start whining...that signals bed time! You like PJs, sleep sack, mama milk and rocking in your chair!  As thankful as we are that you are a great sleeper you like to be in your bed with your blanket.... and only on a rare occasion do you let us rock you to sleep... so the times your fall asleep in our arms we cherish the time!  You still like your sleep sack.  You have discovered the stuffed animals at the end of your bed. You know how to turn on the music box in your crib, we often find you on your tummy and you still very rarely cry to get out of your crib....you Cherish the quiet:)  You usually wake up between 7 and 8am.  You still take 2 naps a day.

Play time is more of an adventure now!  Gone are the days of sitting and quietly sitting in one place.  You are a girl on the move, sit, lay, roll, stand up, giggle, squeal REPEAT! Your favorite toys are Nathan and Benjamin's!  You have learned to sword fight, throw balls, push buttons to make annoying sounds and screech loudly!  Thanks N &B! With all seriousness your favorite toys are the activity table, your tutu girl, Little People Farm, anything you can chew on, your musical egg, the balls from your gumball machine and your pink box of shapes!

Sward fighting with your brothers!

Learning to stand up all on your own!

New Helmet... 1st ride in the Burley!

Although not a big fan of being cooped up in the exersaucer... it was nice to enjoy the warm weather!

New Skills:She is becoming more interactive each day, she is starting to follow directions like, "wave bye-bye" and "blow kisses."  She continues to use signs like more, puppy, please and thank you!  I'm pretty sure she says "Hi"
Standing and pulling up to a stand

Crawling-  its amazing how the mind figures out how to get all the parts working together!  She is so proud of herself when she finally gets to her destination.  She spent much of this month reaching REALLLY far from a seated position, or getting up on all 4's and rocking back and forth.... it was amazing how much movement she had without really crawling!  We are in trouble now that she has figured out DRIVE!

Holding her own bottle and sippy cup!

1st time face timing with mommy (while I was in San Francisco)

Look at Allie's New boyfriend Gabe!

The cutest doodle pants!

Chewing on shoes is the best!

Eating: Allison LOVES to eat!  She loves when we feed her right from our plates.  She has pretty much bypassed baby food and would prefer little cut up pieces!  She eats everything! Favorite Veggies: broccoli, peas, carrots, sweet potato, squash and asparagus
Favorite Fruits: blueberries, raspberries, banana, pears, Mandarin oranges, cooked apples, mango
Favorite Meats: SALMON (she LOVED IT!), pork chops, deli turkey, turkey meat balls
She has mastered the squeeze pouch, drinks from a sippy cup and water bottle and is quite good at picking food up with her thumb and pointer finger.

Nicknames: AllieBoo, Allie girl, squeaker, Al

Allison's first Easter!!!

"Mom.... I know that you made my brothers sit in an Easter basket....
but I'm really quite content without sitting in mine!"

Apparently this was the last "weekly" photo that we took of me pregnant even though Allison wasn't born until 39 weeks!  So here she is at 39 weeks "out"

The Little Things
* the way she says "dada"
* the way she grins when she says "mama"
* Blowing kisses
*waving byebye
* the infectious giggle she has any time her brothers are near... especially Nathan
* The way her butt shakes when she moves from sitting to crawling!
* Her 3rd tooth just poked through
* Her Blondie baby fine spiky hair
* Stranger anxiety has set in just a bit... there are a few tears when she is passed off
* She has discovered her head bands... she pulls them off and often snaps herself in the face
* Socks and shoes ALWAYS get discarded
* Bath time is a splash fest and her favorite is to chew on the bath letters

Testing out their new bikes!
When I was little I got my 1st bike from the Easter Bunny.  This was an out of the ordinary Easter gift for me... I still remember it!  So since the time that Nathan and Benjamin were little I have wanted to do this for them.... so this was the year!  Last summer they learned to ride a two wheel bike and this year they look ridiculously large on their little bikes!   Nathan jumped right on the new bike and took off.... Ben (In true form) is a little more cautious, he wants to make sure that he can ride it and NEVER fall.  He will come around.... I just need to be patient and let it be his idea!
Look at that pink and purple bike!  Love!
and since I was looking through old photos... here are a few from Easters past!
