Birthday Pancakes
Jake Cakes!
Forever and Always, in better and worse.... best buddies.... oh what a connection they have.
And we can't forget Berkeley... she turned 5!
After a busy morning at preschool, a special birthday lunch with friends and a Jake and the Never land Pirates birthday party we are ready and excited about the year ahead of us!
Favorite Foods:
Nathan: milk, clementines, oatmeal ("opameal"), English muffins, apple sauce, pizza, ice cream, olives
Benjamin: Berries(all of them!), bananas, crackers and cheese, chocolate, olives, cranberries
Favorite Toys:
Nathan: Imaginex Castle, hot wheels test track with launcher, play dough, candy land, Go Fish, magna doodle, digital camera.
Benjamin: Cash register, marble run, hot wheels track, magna blocks, tinker toys, Thomas Trains, gears board
Favorite Shows/Movies
Jake and the Never land Pirates, Mike the Knight, Team UmiZoomi, Toy Story, Peter Pan, Christmas movies, Planes
Favorite Books:
5 Minute Pixar Stories, Children's bible, Froggy books, holiday books, Snowmen books, Curious George, Highlights Magazine, Jake and the Never land books, anything interactive-look and find,
Favorite Memories:
* Trip to Florida- they talk about it daily!
* Started preschool
* love swimming lessons
* learned to Ice Skate
* Played T-ball
* Got their own bed rooms and big boy beds
* Learned how to ride a bike and scooter...and got fast!
* Got a new swing set that they LOVE
* worked in the garden with Mommy, planting, watering and harvesting
* Loved their time at the cabin and at G& G Utechs on the lake.
Sleeping habits:
* love snuggling with mom and dad.... they are always chatterboxes at bedside and always recites the days events
* They both sing multiple songs when we leave their room.
* We still read books on Mommy and Daddy's bed... usually 2-3 books
* Bedtime is usually at 730 or 8pm. They usually are up between 630 and 7am.
* Both boys still take 1.5 hour naps daily.
* Benjamin must have his "hole blanket," his "Gamma blanket,"Woody, flamingo, Stuffies X2, dino blanket, two pillows and three blankets over him.... we call it the animal menagerie! He also no longer wears diapers at night.
*Nathan: He just needs his yellow blanket, Buzz and his Wisconsin Badger. He still sleeps on his tummy just like when he was a baby.
Favorite Outings:
* Just Jump, Children's Museum, anywhere with their friends, sledding, Zoo, beach, playground
A little about Nathan:
He is loud and busy at home but a little on the shy side in new situations. Nathan practices until he has mastered something. Nathan is always the negotiator...if you give him one, he asks for two! He is a snuggle bunny! Nathan is a good shopping buddy. He LOVES his brother and would prefer to be with Ben always! Nathan likes to have someone to play with and loves to be outside. Nathan remembers EVERYTHING and usually uses it against us:) Nathan says "sorry" often. When sad or hurt he goes to his room to find his blanket. He loves his teachers.
A little about Benjamin:
He is energetic and opinionated at home. In new situations he is shy and his response is usually to be somewhat stubborn. He is feisty for better and worse! Ben likes to be good at things without practicing, then usually gives up for a little while until finally buckling down to master the skills. Ben is always capable but likes to do everything on his time frame. Ben says "I love you" often! He loves to be with his brother...even though Nathan is usually taking something away from him! Ben could be content playing on his own for periods of time. Ben likes to tell stories. He contemplates things and then asks lots of questions to clarify. He loves to be outside and never complains about the weather... hot or cold.
More then anything we LOVE you to the MOON and BACK!
