N & B: The random collection

I have finally joined the 21st century and I now have an iphone!  I love it.  As everyone knows, I love taking photos... now I can take photos all the time... or at least I have this random collection of little moments that I would have missed before.  The quality isn't as great as my big camera but it does to job!
Lunch Date with friends

Playing with the iPhones at the store

During one of Brent's business trips the boys were sad and wanted a kiss from daddy before bed.  In an effort to comfort them I offered them a "daddy shirt".  They loved it and slept with their "daddy shirt" the entire time he was gone.  So one night in an effort to "procrastinate" bedtime N & B asked for a "mommy shirt".... I couldn't say no to that right????  Well when we went to check on the boys before we headed to bed ... this is what we found, Ben wearing his "Mommy shirt"... my heart melted!

Technology doesn't make our lives better, or easier however at times it is pretty darn cool that a hand held device can capture these memories, email them, download them and upload them... right here for all to enjoy!  Wow... what a world these little munchkins are growing up in!

In my next 30 years.....

Tim McGraw's "My next 30 years!"
"I think I'll take a moment, celebrate my age
The ending of an era and the turning of a page"

"Now it's time to focus in on where I go from here
Lord have mercy on my next thirty years"

A milestone?  Something like that... it seems like you spend much of your 20's not wanting to turn 30... it seems so old.  However when I look back over the last 30 years, I'm pretty thankful for where I am  today.  I have a wonderful, loving and supportive family who would do pretty much anything for me (and me for them!).  I have pretty much the most patient, loving, analytical, organized and HARDWORKING husband.  I have some great little boys who surprise me all the time!  I have so many wonderful friends and co workers who enhance my life in so many ways... I couldn't have gotten through the last 15 months without them!

So, today Brent surprised me again with a few of my favorite people to help me celebrate my 30th birthday!!!!  so fun, so relaxing and such a SURPRISE!

So having said that.... Where do I go from here????
* Graduation Dec 20th!
* Christmas
* LOTS OF FAMILY TIME
* NNP Boards
* Starting a new job...hopefully at Children's
* And with any luck at all... enjoying a simple and far less chaotic life
* And as Brent and I have learned over the last 5 years.... always be ready for the next life surprise!

Thank you to all of you who have been apart of the last 30 years... and cheers to many new adventures and memories!!!

"My next thirty years will be the best years of my life
Raise a little family and hang out with my guy
Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear
Make up for lost time here, in my next thirty years
I'll do it BETTER in my next 30 years!"

First Snow: Winter 2012-13

The boys were quick to get outside this am... the 1st of 3 trips to play in the snow today.  That is alot of on and off with the boots, gloves, jackets and snowpants.  Thanks gramma for letting us play outside today!  The boys were in heaven and really didn't seem to care that it was cold and windy out!

Funny Story from Gramma day!
A little back story.... When I was Florida for my board review conference I brought the boys some shells back from the beach.  At that time we taught the boys to put the shells up to their ears and they could hear the ocean... so today I get the following text...
"How do you tell city kids from country kids?"
"When city kid puts a shell up to his ear he tells you that he can hear the POOL!"
I think this means that we need a trip to the ocean.... what do you think??????
Happy Winter!

"Helping" auntie Hannah study for boards... they pulled all her stickie tabs out too!

So it has been a long month at our house as I head towards the end of school! So tonight, I came home from clinical to two VERY chatty toddlers!  We played for awhile...then headed to read bed time stories.  The boys decided that "the love you forever" book is their new favorite. On one of the pages the Man moves out of this mother's house... the discussion went something like this.
Ben: "Oh no, man leavin his mama!"
Me: "so sad, are you going to move out of our house some day?"
Ben: "Yup mama!"
Me: "mommy will be so sad if you move out!"
Ben: "No worry mama, daddy live with you!"
Me: "are you going to go to college and get a job?"
Nathan: "Me go to college!"
Me: "are you going to marry a nice girl!"
Nathan and Ben: "Yup MAMA!"
Me: "Can mommy babysit your kids?"
Ben: "Nope, Gramma do it!"
The little things...

The light at the end of the tunnel is upon us!  45 days until graduation, 9 days of clinical and 8 days of work as an RN... Can't believe it!
