This and That: May

A trip to Grandma and Grandpa Utechs for Mother's Day and G &G 35th wedding anniversary!  Cathy was so sweet and had the boys make mommy a homemade apple pie!  It was delicious!

1st beach day of the season!
It was gorgeous out and the best part was it wasn't crowded because school isn't out yet!

Lilah!  Their favorite!

mommy and Daddy had some house project decisions to make.... so we were "those" parents and let the boys watch the iPad in the back of the cart!  Best part.... it actually worked for about 1.5hours!

I LOVE sleeping kiddos... so cute!

Mother's Day gifts!  The boys were so proud of themselves!  I really wanted their handwriting right now... it is precious!  So they both wrote their names in their "best" handwriting.  When the necklace came they both beamed with pride... they even told their preschool teachers about the necklace!

Picking beautiful flowers for mommy on our walks!

One of the first really nice days of spring/summer.  Boys road their bikes, Berkeley sniffed every tree and mommy waddled behind them!

Bubble blowing!  Thanks Dr. Williams and Dr. Peggy for the fun toys.  Mommy played the "pregnant person" in an upcoming commercial, so the boys got to play with some fun new toys!

1st trip of the summer to the Williams cabin!  Ben caught 20 crappies!   He was sooooo proud of himself.  Nathan was thrilled with his catch of the day!  This fishing is SERIOUS business!

Ben has his daddy's chocolate gene!  So hunkle Adams build your own sundae was perfect!

The Colby Lake pool opened too!!!  Just in time for nice hot weather!

This cute little crab crawled into bed with mommy!

A little subway dinner while we enjoyed cousin Peters soccer game!

Supervising the installation of the new carpet!

In heaven with all the nice weather!

Hanging with their buddy Nicholas!

I will never get sick of summer pool photos... especially when they have their crazy goggles on!

Sending daddy lots of love and good night kisses while he is at Uncle Rusty's bachelor party!

Christine's Graduation from Vet School

Last week we headed to Madison, WI for a very important graduation celebration.  This was a celebration a long time in coming.... and Nathan and Benjamin were very excited to go back to Madison. Last summer we spent a week in Madison getting to know the town and the campus... and of course visiting auntie Christine.  This time the trip was a celebration of Christine's graduation and this time we got to bring her home with us!
Checking out the vet school.

One of Christine's lecture halls.... where her orientation took place 4 years ago!

Ben found a chalk board.... so he wrote his name.... I wonder what the pharmacology students thought????

It was then off the have Babcock ice cream on the patio over looking the water.... this is one of our favorites from Madison!

and of  course the big yellow chair!

Graduation was at the Kohl Center.... Congratulatory hugs for auntie Christine!

A Quick family photo!

A VERY special Ben and Christine photo.  We have a photo of Christine holding Benjamin the day he came home from the hospital... at 5 pounds.... Christine was on the phone with her Dad getting the news that she was accepted to vet school.  I can't believe that it has been 4.5 years, that Christine is done with school and that Benjamin is so BIG.... I guess time does fly not only when you are having fun but also when you cram a lot of life into each day:)

Nathan and his Godparents!

A trip to the Madison Farmers Market!

Graduation party... complete with a Root beer keg!
Why do I feel like this is a glimpse into the year 2028????

And when it was all said and done we celebrated one more time at the Vet School hooding and oath ceremony!  We are soooo proud of Christine and all the hard work that is now complete!  She is going to be a FABULOUS vet!  If anyone is in the market for a new vet Dr. Kopp will start practicing June 4th at a vet clinic in New Richmond, WI.
It was a great weekend and we are so glad that we got to celebrate this major life accomplishment.
So Dr. Kopp.... you have now worn the 1st of 2 very important gowns of 2014!  What a year!
