Another weekend at the Lake...

Day 1: We spent at the Nohner's Cabin.  The boys loved playing in the sand and the water and riding on the boat and most of all spending some quality and long overdo time with Matt and Grace!

St. Louis Trip!

Last weekend we took the boys to St. Louis to visit our Friend Rusty!  As some of you know he took a job with the IRS in St. Louis and has been living down there a little over a year.  Brent found a great deal on airfare so off we went.... two suit cases, two pack N plays, two carry ons, two car seats, two booster chairs,  4 sippy cups, $3.29 water bottle from the airport store and an arsenal of Toddler activities (color wonder, paint with water, slinky, silly putty, books, snack).  St. Louis here we come!!!

We had a wonderful time and we are so glad that we got to spend some time with Rusty and Lindsay.  We are all tired and still unpacking but it was well worth all the work!!!!

July 4th 2011: Cabin Trip

What a beautiful weekend!  We headed up north to Walker, MN last Wednesday night.   There were many adventures and fun moments.  Grandma and Grandpa Utech were so excited to have the boys all weekend at the lake!  We headed to Animal land in Bemidji on Thursday.   The boys got to feed the animals... they especially loved feeding all the deer.  I was actually kind of surprised they weren't scared.... I guess they figured it was just a big Berkeley!  

Nathan and Benjamin love running around outside, playing in Grandma's gardens, pouring water in and out of the kiddie pool, watering the flowers, mowing the grass and pushing each other on the swing.  Nathan and Benjamin learned a few new works this weekend: "Ot OT Ot" = Hot Hot Hot,  "doc"= dock and "boa"= Boat.  So cute!  They also had the opportunity to roast s'mores for the first time and go fishing on the boat.  Both boys got the touch a fish!  The lake was still a little cold... N & B however didn't mind at all, finally when Ben's lips turned blue we made them get out!  Here are some of the highlights!

4th of July PJs

July 4th is always a little bittersweet for me... it always makes it seem like summer is half over.  This year however it seemed like a kick off to summer, so excited for the next 8 weeks (lets hope the weather hangs with us!).
