The Little things...
* Each night when I lay with Nathan he asks if he can have my pony holder (hair binder). He then puts it around his wrist and sleeps with it.
* Nathan more then Ben always would put his shoes on the wrong feet. After telling him to switch them so many times.... He now asks "are these on the right feet or wrong feet mom???" It was then that I realized I was going to miss it when he stopped putting them on the wrong feet.
* BAND-AIDS: N & B LOVE them and they ask for them often! When going to bed they ask, when they fall they ask...etc. This is another one of those things that kind of drives me crazy when I'm trying to do things fast.... however someday they wont want buzz light year bands or Cars band aids, and that makes me sad. So for now... I will put band aids on healthy skin and give it a kiss:)
* The Road less traveled: Often Nathan and Benjamin want to walk along the curb or edge of a retaining wall or through the weeds. Often I tell them to walk on the side walk, that they are going to get hurt, or that they need to hurry. As I watched the boys walk from the beach to the playground not on the path but through the weeds...examining the flowers, the weeds and the plants, it again dawned on me... they are learning and exploring. I am a type A, by the books kind of person... its one of the things that I would change about myself if I could. Maybe I can learn something from these boys (the toddler doodlers as I call them)... stop, enjoy the moment, don't follow all the rules. Maybe rules are made to be broken... as much as it challenges me.... maybe these two boys will be less likely to conform to the "rules" and more likely to do what makes them happy to be entrapenuers, to create and build,... its my wish for them!

There are a million more things that shock me, make me smile, frustrate me and remind me of my boys... moments, activities and words that I cheerish. I'm hoping between videos, photos and this blog I will never forget "the small stuff."
Love you to the moon and back boys!
