26 Months and counting!

Two year olds crack us up, keep us on our toes and make us look at the world in a brand new light.  My due date was March 8th 2010 so I guess that means the boys are officially 2 and are no longer corrected for their prematurity. They are officially TODDLERS in every sense of the word.

We had Disney Day at ECFE and the boys made crowns... they wore them for 2 solid days until they fell apart. 

The boys are in gym class again this spring... they love the trampoline, hanging on the bars and Nathan is a little mountain climber!

N & B  LOVE the show "Fireman Sam" and they often feel the need to wear their fireman Sam hats and watch the show.  Also notice the very LARGE PINK bunny that they carry all around the house. 

They still love to dump ingredients and stir, stir, stir!

Mommy and daddy had the morning off together.... almost unheard of these days!  We headed to the MN State High School Hockey Tournament.  The boys LOVED watching the hockey... plus they got to eat mini donuts and shake their pompoms!

New Favorite toys: Big pink bunny, Fireman Sam Hat, Shopping cart, their bikes and lawn mowers, sticking stickers, chalk, painting and Dino stampers

Favorite foods: Pineapple, hot dogs wrapped in croissants, granola bars, sloppy Joe's, anything that you can dip, pretzels 

Favorite Books: Knuffle Bunny, Everywhere Babies, Elmo's Post Office, The Lady with the Alligator Purse and anything with dogs or dinos.

Funny Stories:

* While my mom was babysitting the other day Ben threw a toy so he had to go to time out.  Nathan followed Ben to time out.  When time out was over Nathan walked back to the playroom picked up the same toy that ben had thrown and Nathan threw it and then said no no and walked to time out.  ---- does this mean that they understand time out??? Not sure.

* While riding his bike out on the drive way, Nathan went full speed into down the drive way stopping 2 inches short of hitting the Civic, where upon he shouts "Wow Mama.... BANG!"

* We have a book called Knuffle Bunny, the boys love it.  They can now fill in the words and they point to all the people in the book and call them by name. 

* They also love to sing songs, ABC's, Baa Baa Black Sheep,  Mr. Sun and Wheels on the Bus are their favorites.... They can sing some of the words... like "Baa Baa sheep" and "Sun, Sun, Mr. Sun.....ME!" and "up and dOWN!" and they love when the mommy on the bus says "SHHH SHH SHHH"

* When Nathan drops something  he says "oh Shoot"  Probably not appropriate for a two year old.  But still made us laugh!

* Each night after bed time stories we rock the boys for a couple of minutes.  They now decide when its time for bed.... Brent will ask them are you ready for bed?  "Nope... nathan replies"   A couple of minutes later Brent asks again  are you ready for bed?  "YEAH... Ben replies!"  We don't get much time to snuggle any more so we love the couple of minutes that we get!

We absolutely LOVE their little voices.  They always surprise us with what they know and how much more they can communicate with us compared with 2 months ago.  

Sorry for the lack of updates,  It has been a busy and interesting month.
