Allison: 4 Months

This little lady is 4 Months old today... what a difference 4 months makes... the day she was born it was 80 degrees... now its snowing and 10 degrees.   She is definitely a warm weather baby!   She is not a big fan of coats and hats.... onsies and bare feet are more her style (I guess she does have a little daddy in her)!

Unsure of what this leaf jumping is all about... the sound of the rustling leaves scared her a bit!

Mommy's First day back at work! I received this text message from Brent... "see I can handle this!"  Brent dislikes the hair band/bow... but to prove his point, even he dressed her in a skirt with a bow!  I never had any doubts we would convert him to a hair band daddy.  My next mission is to teach him  to braid! One of the little girls in Benjamin's Preschool class came to school with 2 braids... put in by her father... impressive!!!!

Riding in her car seat is ok as long as she is moving.... She would much rather be held and look around!

Allison loves to lay on the changing table and look around, kick her legs and "talk" to mommy! She is still the Queen of blowouts!  We upgraded to Size 2 diapers... but she still has blowouts and the size 2 diapers are pretty big around her thin little waist so we are going back to size 1!

EATING: This girl is into the food!  She watches everything that everyone puts in their mouth! I think she is going to be all about the food when she hits 6 months!

Currently, she still loves her "mama milk" (as the boys call it).  When I went back to work I was so worried about her taking a bottle.... I shouldn't have worried.  She went about 6 hours without eating, took a few naps for daddy and then woke up and took 4 ounces... every since she easily takes her bottles.  Even mommy can give her bottles on occasion... however its much easier to just feed her then to pump and bottle (how did I do that for 14 months with the boys?)! Allison usually bottles 4 ounces or breastfeeds for 10-15 minutes and she usually eats ~5-6 times a day.  

SLEEPING: Allison is a great sleeper and always has been (I'm sure I just jinxed us).  She usually goes to bed around 7:30 or 8 and wakes up between 7 and 8 in the morning.  She takes two cat naps (30min-1 hour) and one long nap daily (2-3 hours). The THUMB is her go to when she is tired.  She likes to play on the floor and has figured out how to flip over on her side, suck her thumb and fall asleep.  She sleeps in her sleep sack but is no longer swaddled. Allie's first Halloween!  She was Tinkerbell.  She loved to watch all the kids trick or treating... and all that candy was pretty fun to watch too!

PLAYING: Allison is loving this piano that her friend Riley let her borrow!  Sophie the Giraffe was Benjamin's favorite when he was little... Allison loves it too!  She reaches for toys, our noses and anything on the tables.  The bumbo is great because she can watch what is going on around her.  She is a strong girl and likes to practice sitting and standing.  She loves her tummy and is trying to figure out this rolling thing... she gets about 3/4 of the way over and then can't figure out what to do with her arm. Other playtime favorites include reaching for touch and feel books, listening and "dancing" to music and her evening swing ride!

She is calm and mild mannered and she loves to watch her brothers whenever possible.  

The little Things:

* First time in the snow... she was fine until we laid her on it! Plus it is hard to suck your thumb with all that on. 

* Loves to HONK noses

* Bit mama for the first time when she was eating... she likes to scratch mommy too! (ouch!)

* Giggles

* Started screeching

* Still loves a warm tubby bath

* Went to her 1st day at back up child care.

* Nicknames include: Sweet Lovey, Allie Boo, Allie Poo, Gummy Bear (for that cute little toothless smile)

* Toys we can't live without: Pink Little Giraffe blanket, chewy keys, Sophie, squiral rattle

Grandpa Charlie Dinner: We celebrated Grandpa's 107th birthday with his favorite meal, sourkraut, mashed potatoes, pork chops and polish sausage. Allie was really intrigued with uncle Stephen's Food.
