Walker Week

It has been a crazy summer and we knew that we wont make it to Walker very often so we made our time count and were there for almost a week.  Our mini van is getting more and more crammed.  We also forgot a bit what it was like traveling with a newborn.  Allison actually did great in the car... we had maybe 15 minutes of crying total between the 10 hours we spent in the car there and back.  Nathan and Benjamin were fabulous on the way up north and a little more pesky on the way home... "are we there yet???"  As we pulled onto Brents parent's dirt road Ben said: " We are upnorth now... its bumpy out!"

 "This boat is fast but my Grandpa's boat is REALLY FAST!"

A family ride on the jet ski!  Brent managed to throw himself and Ben and I off the jet ski.... leaving Nathan sitting on the jet ski all alone.  We gave grandma quite the scare as she watched little Benjamin go flying into the water.  Everyone was fine... however Ben was a bit more timid of the water toys after this.  He only wanted slow jet ski rides the rest of the weekend.  Nathan on the other hand is his mama's son... "I have a need for speed!"

Matt and Grace were up for the week too... so the mommies took the girls shopping in Walker.... so fun and I'm sure the first of many trips together!

When we pulled into the visitors center at Itasca Benjamin exclaimed: 

"Yeah Itasca looks just like Cabelas!"

This is a photo that Brent and I took in the same spot almost 8 years to the date... before we were even engaged!  Now look at our lovely little family!  What a crazy and wonderful journey and life together!

And we stopped in Park Rapids at a candy store that Gramma use to go to when she was a kid!  The boys loved it!

We had a great trip up north and we were so happy to spend so much quality time with Brent's parents!
