Loving Summer!

A trip to zoos...

We have been trying to get to the MN zoo all summer and it finally happened.  The boys loved the dinos last year so we headed out again this year.  The boys thought the dinos were pretty cool... but the rest of the day we were whiny, whiny, whiny.  

The butterfly house is also a hit!  I think that all the butterflies are so beautiful!

We also headed to Como zoo to check out the new Gorilla Exhibit. I thought it was really cool and a huge improvement for the animals.  Brent and I also discussed how much we love the como zoo... its free, its well kept, and the animals are so close and you can see them so well.

Parks, Ice cream and boats....

A couple of weeks ago on one of those beautiful summer nights we headed to stillwater for Nathan  and Ben's first trip to Nelson's Ice cream.  On our way we grabbed dinner and played at the park just down from Nelson's.  After we played for a while we headed to Nelson's for our "tiny" ice cream cones.  Then headed to the river to watch boats... and got to see multiple hot air balloons over the river and the lift bridge, it was a pretty cool sight.
